How do I clean the heating suit? What are the precautions?

June05,2020

Repeatedly using the heated suit to hike, bike, ride a motorcycle, climb a mountain, ski, skate, ride a horse or just go out for pizza with friends, the fact is that the heated suit won't always stay clean. By then, your favorite heated coat needs a "shower."

But you might worry that if you "bathe" the jacket, its heating elements will stop working. In addition, you are told that cable circuits do not normally mix with water (the hair dryer's warning label will give you a warm reminder every time you use it).

So...

Could you wash a heating coat?

The good news is, don't be afraid! As long as you follow the instructions below, you can safely wash your Eleheat heating jacket. This requires special attention, so be sure to follow all the steps.

How do I clean Eleheat heat jackets/vests

Here are six steps to cleaning a Eleheat heated coat, vest, or hoodie:

Step 1: Disconnect and remove battery from zipper bag.

This is one of the most important steps to ensuring the safety of Eleheat's heated clothing. It is important to remove the rechargeable battery from the garment because it cannot be submerged in water (it will stop working). So make sure you take it out before moving on to the next step.

Step 2: Make sure to put the connector cable back in and close the zipper bag.

You want to make sure the power cord is safe, so after removing the battery from the heated coat or vest, put it back in the connector cable and zip it. This will protect it during washing.

Step 3: Put your coat in a mesh laundry bag.

The wiring of the heating gear is very fine and requires extra attention. We recommend that you put it in a mesh laundry bag.

Step 4: Machine wash.

Do not dry clean. Your heating jacket is more likely to be washed at home in the washing machine than at the dry cleaner. That's good news, isn't it? This will save you a few dollars. It also prefers a machine without a blender in the center, but if that's a machine, using mesh bags will be very helpful. You can even put it in a pillowcase.

Cold and mild cycle. You need to be careful. Be sure to set the machine for gentle circulation and wash in cold water. While you may not like cold showers, Eleheat loves them anyway!

Do not bleach: Bleaching can damage heated clothing, so it is forbidden.

Step 5: Dry them.

Do not twist or twist: We know you want it to dry quickly so you can use it as soon as possible, but squeezing or twisting it can damage the wiring

Online drying: Heated clothing does not like dryers and requires online drying. Another option is to lay it flat on a towel. Just be sure to move it to the other side from time to time to dry out both sides.

Do not iron: It can be removed from the washing machine as soon as possible to prevent wrinkles.

Step 6: Get ready!

You are ready to use your favorite heating vest again! Now it's time to wear it again in all the styles you have.

How to store heated clothes?

If you are storing a heated coat, hoodie, or vest, make sure it is stored in a well-ventilated place that is not too damp. You don't want it to be moldy. Also, remember that you need to place the battery at 77 °F ± 2 °F and away from moisture (we recommend a relative humidity of 60 ± 15% RH).

So now you can invite your favorite heated coat or vest to "shower" as needed. You don't have to wear and wash it every time, but deep inside, you'll always know when to date Eleheat with the washer.
